Escape the coastal flats and travel deep into Gariwerd — an ancient, rugged mountain range rising dramatically from Victoria's western plains.
Because this is your private charter, we run on your schedule. Our journey begins with a connection to country as we stop at Bunjil's Shelter, one of southeastern Australia's most significant cultural sites, to view the ancient ochre rock art depiction of the creator spirit, Bunjil, and his dingoes.
From there, we ascend into the heart of the national park, and the day is entirely yours to shape. We can take a relaxed, flat walk out to The Balconies (famous for the 'Jaws of Death' rock formations) for sweeping, uninterrupted views across the vast Victoria Valley wilderness, or explore alternative trails to match your group's energy.
After refuelling with lunch in the valley village, we take a short drive to hike through a cool, shaded fern gully to discover Silverband Falls — a striking alpine cascade that disappears mysteriously into the rocky riverbed. We cap off our mountain adventure tracking eastern grey kangaroos as they emerge into the mountain clearings. As the afternoon cools, we can hit the highway early to skip the city's rush hour, or push the schedule back to catch the fading mountain light.

We pull off the highway in historic Ballarat for a quick mid-morning stop at a premium local café near Lake Wendouree. Grab a barista-made coffee and a fresh pastry before we hit the mountains.
Take an easy walk through the Black Range Scenic Reserve to view the ancient ochre rock art depicting Bunjil, the ancestral creator spirit of Aboriginal peoples in southeastern Australia.
We drive high into the park to Reed Lookout. Enjoy an easy, flat walk out to The Balconies to photograph the iconic protruding sandstone layers framing endless views over the wilderness below.
