Escape the city and travel deep into South Gippsland — rolling green dairy country that leads straight to the dramatic granite mountains and turquoise waters of Wilsons Promontory.
Because this is your private charter, we run on your schedule. We break up the morning drive with barista-made coffee in the regional town of Leongatha before crossing the national park boundary. Our first stop is a dedicated wildlife walk through the coastal scrub and open grasslands, tracking wild wombats, emus, and eastern grey kangaroos in their natural habitat.
Arriving at Tidal River, the day is entirely yours to shape. You can choose to hike the winding, forested trail up to the Mt Oberon summit for uninterrupted 360-degree views over the jagged coastline and Bass Strait. Alternatively, if your group has booked the optional wilderness cruise, launch an amphibious RIB boat directly from Norman Beach, hugging the rugged coast to spot fur seals and the monolithic granite island of Skull Rock.
We regroup at Tidal for lunch by the river, then cross the footbridge to explore the tea-tree wetlands along the Tidal River boardwalk. From there, we head over to Squeaky Beach to walk the blindingly white quartz sand — which genuinely squeaks underfoot — and explore the massive, rust-stained granite boulders framing the bay. We make the most of the afternoon, soaking in the late sun before setting off at 5:30 PM for a smooth drive back to Melbourne.

Enjoy direct pickup right from your home or accommodation anywhere in central Melbourne or the inner suburbs. Settle into your seat as we navigate out of the city and head southeast through the rolling dairy pastures of South Gippsland.
We break up the drive with a morning stop in the regional hub of Leongatha. Grab a barista coffee and a fresh pastry from a local cafe before we push through the final stretch toward the national park gates.
Just after entering the park, we stop at an open grassland reserve to track wild wombats, roaming emus and kangaroos as they graze in the morning light.
We arrive at the Tidal River hub. Guests who booked the optional wilderness cruise will check in for their 11:00 AM departure, while the rest of the group gears up for the mountain hike.
Guests going on the cruise launch directly from the beach on a 2.5-hour amphibious boat cruise to The Glennies, Anderson Islets, Anser Island Skull Rock. Your guide will lead everyone else to Telegraph Saddle to hike the 6.8km return trail up Mt Oberon for panoramic views over Bass Strait.
The groups reunite at Tidal River. Grab lunch from the general store, eat your own packed meal on the lawns, or take a quick dip at Norman Beach to cool off.
Cross the Tidal River footbridge and weave through the scenic tea-tree boardwalks. A relaxed walk offering elevated views over Norman Bay and the surrounding coastal wilderness.
We head over to the Prom's most famous bay. Walk the blindingly white quartz sand — which genuinely squeaks under your boots — and explore the massive granite boulder formations framing the turquoise water.
After enjoying Squeaky Beach in the warm afternoon light, we begin our scenic drive back to Melbourne at 5:30 PM.
